Uttarakhand - I

 Day 1 - River Rafting

Just wow! Never had I imagined that I would be traveling to Uttarakhand anytime soon. But we did go! And it was mesmerizing.

We left Bangalore the previous night to Delhi. Traveling in flight at night was kinda fun. All the patches of light. The lights of civilization. The footprint we have left on this planet we call ours. Anyway, we reached Delhi at around midnight. We had booked a tempo traveller from Delhi for 4 days. We left Delhi right away to Rishikesh.

The journey to Rishikesh from Delhi was a hell-ride. The road construction has been going on on the National Highway, and there was fog everywhere. Especially after 4 in the morning, the fog was so dense that the visibility was just 5 meters. We stopped at 5 near some dhaba, then left at 6.30. This delayed our river rafting. There was traffic all along the way. We reached Rishikesh at 10.30. From there we still had to travel for 35 km to reach the starting point of rafting. So, finally, we started the rafting at 12.30 pm.

I really can't explain about rafting. It's something we gotta experience. Though I'll try my best to raft you through it (I made a bad pun lol).

The water looks so green there. It was also very cold. We were given instructions before starting the rafting. It started slow. And we had to row a lot. It's definitely not easy on the arms. We can also get down and swim along with the raft. But the water will be very cold. We got down twice, but my friend swam for a long time. I don't know how his body parts didn't freeze.

The first day was all about rafting. By the time we finished, it was 5.30. We had Maggi on the shore. But none of us could hold the plate. We were shivering so much that we spilled Maggi on our clothes.

One sad thing is we missed Ganga Arati. It was already late and we couldn't go there. Apart from that, day 1 was just awesome.

    Actually there were two adventurous journey on day 1.
    One was obviously the rafting but before that the journey from Delhi to Rishikesh was also kind of adventurous thing as we had to adjust ourselves to the cold weather

Light Painting Technique

I'm going to talk about a mode called Light Painting, which you might or might not have heard of, but you would have come across the pictures at least once. Why We Do What We Do?

  Before you start wondering if this is a photography blog or some philosophical one, let me just save you the time and tell you that this, indeed, is a photography blog.
